Asal - Another Bad Movie from Ajith

With the subtitle "Power Of Silence", they wanted to draw audience inside theatre informing that Ajith will not trouble us with his poor dialogue delivery.Billa kind of stylish looks. Since Billa was a reasonable hit (though not a great movie), I went to theatre with a little hope (of course after a long thinking)

Movie starts in France with some terror looks of Ajith (vaaila periya suruttu vera); Sameera Reddy with Glamor dress. All similar to Billa. Then comes the age old stuffs like Illegal son, affection towards brothers, but they being disgraceful, saguni kind of mama, father's death followed by property fight etc. The movie very clearly conveys the message "Don't expect anything different". 

I seriously doubt whether Ajith can ever give a good movie (same doubt with Vijay too). Idhula annaatha associate director, part in story-screenplay-dialogue vera. Unakku dhan nadikkave varala? Apram edhukku indha veen velai lam?

Sameera Reddy. Ada paavigala. Vaaranam Aayiram la apdi oru role panna ponnukku ipdia oru dochu role? Cha! Same is the case of Bhavana. No scope! 2 heroines and both of them under utilised. Audience were highly disappointed. :P

Sampath and Rajiv Krishna, the brothers  - Over acting. Yugi Sethu was irritating to the core in the name of jokes. 'Don Samsa' Peru mattum dhan comedya irundhuchu. Usually Vadivelu dhana idhu maadhiri roles pannuvar?  Yugi Sethu is a komali but not of this type. He has his kaingariyam in story-screenplay too.

Music director Bharadwaj has given his worst. Songs were bad (Tottadoin was a hit, eh?) and the Background score was horrible . That small song when senior Ajith dies. Iyyo.Sema comedy Bharadwaj neenga. Idhu enna Cheran padama?

Finally, about Director Saran. I think, the director thought of giving some James Bond effects. He created lot of suspense in initial scenes like a typical James Bond movie. But all were sappa suspense. Boss, You could have given the title 'Thala' to Ajith. But you need not re-iterate it again and again. You could have announced a contest asking audience to count the number of times 'Thala' was uttered in this movie. Poyum poyum Ajithukku edhukku ivlo jaldra? Pls don't spoil your guru KB's name. That Brijesh Shetty character!!! Epdi sir Bombay dada Tamil la pesaraar? Sathiyama puriala. French police who is a Tamilian. Sema imagination!


I can list out all the flaws in movie. At the end, I have to list all the scenes in the movie. So let me stop here saying that Asal is another bad movie from  Ajith.
